This is because stun guns are normally powered by 9 volt batteries and the higher voltage units required three or four batteries. For those who would prefer to carry it in a holster we have included in a small heavy-duty leather holster with belt loop. Safety Switch: to prevent accidental discharge, the safety switch must be in the "on" position before the unit will operate. A red light will illuminate above the safety switch to warn you that the stun gun is ready to fire.
